Vols Still Needed For Public Health Drill Next Month

Johnson County Public Health will be conducting a drill for a possible “biological event” with the help of County Emergency Management and other agencies. The drill is scheduled for Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15 and volunteers are still needed.

National Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, April 28

Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Waugh and Buffalo Police Sergeant Garth Nicholas at last year's Drug Take-Back event.

The Buffalo/Johnson County Community Resource Center, in cooperation with the Buffalo Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a drug take-back event in celebration of the National Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, April 28th from 10am to 2pm.

Buffalo Asks Rec Board To Help Name Greenleaf Park

Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook asked the city council at their meeting Tuesday if the council wanted to give the right to name the park in the Greenleaf Subdivision to the Johnson County Recreation District Board.

Buffalo Councilman Arraigned On Possession Charges In Gillette

Buffalo City Councilman Justin Gerard was arraigned in Campbell County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon for possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute. Gerard has been held in the Campbell County Detention Center since his arrest on Tuesday.
