State Supplemental Budget Released

Three weeks after the 2011 Wyoming Legislative Session began, the Joint Appropriation Committee, or JAC, has released its $667.3 million supplemental budget bill. The bill, known as HB0001 is available to read on the Wyoming Legislature's website, a link is here:

Man Charged With 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor Changes Plea In District Court

55-year-old Curtis Scheckla plead guilty to 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor in 4th Judicial District Court Thursday.

A pretrial conference was scheduled Thursday morning in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan County for 55-year-old Sheridan resident Curtis Scheckla. Scheckla is charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor for fondling and inappropriately touching a 5-year-old girl last summer.

Pedestrian Killed in Hit & Run

A tragic incident occurred just south of Cheyenne January 25th on US Highway 85. Sgt. Stephen Townsend with the Wyoming Highway Patrol issued a report Thursday indicating that a pedestrian who was walking on the highway had been struck by a vehicle. Sgt.

The winter we've been experiencing in northeast Wyoming has made it extremely difficult for big game animals to find food on winter ranges. The north Gillette and Moorcroft areas have been hit the hardest with bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills over the past week.
