Buffalo, Jo Co Agree to Move Forward With Joint Engineer

The Johnson County Commissioners and the Buffalo City Council heard final proposals from City Planner Zach Montgomery and County Planner Rob Yingling at their meetings Tuesday and both entities decided to back the hiring of a joint city/county engineer.

A letter was submitted to the Buffalo City Council requesting re-allocation of $17,000 of one-percent curb and gutter funds at their meeting Tuesday night, but the council tabled the request until they could get more information on the situation. The request was for work performed at the new Johnson County/Buffalo Recycling Center that was constructed earlier this year.
