The balmy Friday night couldn't have been a better backdrop for Habitat for Humanities fundraiser called “On the Foundation.” It was the kick-off fundraiser for the construction of their new home on Thurmond Street.

Mediate wins Jim Murray Award for College Sportswriter of the Year

Jim Murray was a journalist who won national sportswriter of the year 14 times and was the one of the only sportswriters to ever win a Pulitzer Prize. Aspiring sportswriter Daniel Mediate of Sheridan may have just started chipping away at those accolades.

Initial Pre-Trial Conference Scheduled in District Two Court Case

An initial pre-trial conference has been scheduled for August 24th in the discrimination lawsuit filed against Sheridan County School District Two officials. Former District Two employee Michael Kadera filed the lawsuit in U.S District Court of Wyoming in June.

Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded to the Sheridan County Airport shortly after 10 am Friday morning as a call came in that a single engine plane was attempting to land while experiencing problems with its landing gear.

Open Class Entries Are Today at the Fairgrounds

The Sheridan County Fair gets underway with a full day of open class entries today. Sheridan County Fairgrounds Facilities Director Melissa Albrecht says that having the open class entries this early is something new this year.

New Degree Offered at Sheridan College in Johnson County

Sheridan College in Johnson County will be offering a new degree starting this fall, that can be earned solely in Johnson County.
With the Associate of Applied Science, General Technology Degree, students can go to work or move on to earn a four-year degree.
