At Monday's meeting of the Sheridan City Planning Commission, there was discussion about setting up a work session with the city council so that both bodies are on the same page. The idea was first suggested by planning commissioner Robert Webster and all agreed Monday that it was a good idea.
The Growing Role of Women in the Military and at the Sheridan VA Hospital
In recent years, more women have been joining the military. As women are increasingly volunteering for service, the Sheridan Veteran Affairs Hospital is upping their efforts at helping these women. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the story.

First Light Children's Center in Sheridan has announced that William Maxwell is their new executive director. The search began almost a year ago to find the right person to lead the center into the future. Maxwell feels he can bring a lot to First Light.
Prescribed Burns at Bud Love to Take Place Late April/Early May (Photo by Chris Foy)
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced Tuesday they are planning a series of prescribed burns at the Bud Love Wildlife Management Area in late April or early May - if the weather permits. The department has contracted Fire Trax, LLC to conduct the burns.
Phase Two of the Wyoming Avenue/Park area reconstruction project will get underway Monday, May 6th. Crews finished up phase one of the project last spring and the City of Sheridan recently awarded the bid for phase two of the project to Intermountain Construction and Materials of Sheridan.
The Sheridan community is getting a little bit closer, thanks to online social media. The Facebook page, Sheridan Angels, was started by Kelley Mason, a single mom of five and full-time college student.
