The City of Sheridan is making strides to become as transparent as possible to the community. They have done so by recently creating a new, redesigned website that is intended to be more user friendly.

True West Magazine recently announced its 2017 Best of the West Awards with Sheridan earning four of them. Sheridan won the Reader’s choice "Best Place to Live Like an Old West Cowboy" and the Editor’s choice "Best Promotion of a Historic Place" categories.
Sheridan is a city in which Old West history and culture come alive. The town recently earned the #10 slot on True West Magazine’s twelfth annual Top Western Towns list featured in its February 2017 issue which hit newsstands on Tuesday.
The first Dining for a Cause of the year at Frackelton’s in downtown Sheridan will take place Monday and will benefit a quartet of local museums; the Trail End State Historic Site, the Sheridan County Museum, the Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site and the Jim Gatchell Museum in Buffalo.
