Other JC Commission Happenings

The Johnson County Commissioners at their regular meeting Tuesday, discussed and will look into building a vault for treasurer-elect Carla Faircloth. There used to be a vault for the treasurer in that office until the courthouse was remodeled a number of years ago, when the vault was removed.

County Planner Rob Yingling gave a report on planning and zoning in the county. Nothing has happened on the Maverik property, Creekside Havens or Outlaw Acres Subdivision west of Kaycee near Barnum, he said. Yingling also presented the Bald Mountain Subdivision plat, which the Commission approved.

An impasse over an access for a driveway at Cross Three Subdivison was also discussed, with planner Yingling saying he has no personal agenda in the matter, and he will abide by whatever decision the commissioners make.

Budget amendments F22, F54, F56 and F57 were approved. The amendments were adopted by the Commission from Federal Grants and were added to the County's general budget. Commissioner Smokey Wildeman explains.

The next Johnson County Commission meeting will be Tuesday, December 21st starting at 9 am in the Johnson County Courthouse.
