Buffalo Building Inspector Toby Rhoades gave his report to the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting, updating them on the status of the new O'Reilly Auto Parts Building on East Hart Street.
Rhoades said he had issued them a Certificate of Occupancy and that their tentative plan is to open for business January 3rd.
A Certificate of Occupancy attests that the structure has been built to building and zoning ordinances and that the contractor has complied substantially with the plans and specifications filed with the application for the building permit.
Crazy Woman Square has rusted “stainless steel” fixtures, and Rhoades has been in contact with the contractor and their supplier to find out why.
The Supply house has since been in contact with him and tried to explain why the stainless fixtures are rusting.
Rhoades also reported that two new homes began construction last week, one an existing permit and one on a new permit.
