The Brinton Museum in Big Horn is open for the 2014 season with a show by illustrator Zach Pullen. Museum Educator Barbara McNab talked about the artist.
She said 85 of the artists' original works are featured in the show, called “The Art of Visual Storytelling,” and features eight of the many books he has illustrated. The show will be up through June 4. Funding is provided by the Edwin T. Meredith Foundation.
The museum educator said the artist will be at the museum next week to visit with school children. She said 19 school groups, which is about 600 children, will tour the exhibit and hear the presentation by the artist.
An opening reception honoring the artist is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, from 2 until 4. He'll also be at the museum for two more presentations: a gallery talk on the night of May 1, starting at 7:30; then he'll be back for a book-signing from 2-4 on the afternoon of May 17. All of the events are free and open to the public.
The reception gallery and house are open from 10-5, Mondays through Saturdays, and from noon to 5 on Sundays.
