It was the third Open Mic slash Concert hosted by the Social Factory.  Held at the Sheridan Inn Saturday night, the venue is meant as a way for local bands and other folks to showcase their talent.  Speakers and microphones are set up and audience members are given the opportunity to perform.

The brainchild of Aimee and Timothy Williams, Aimee explains what the Social Factory is all about.

A diverse crowd of all ages and all walks of life, everyone is welcome to the family-friendly event.

Paul French was there with his band “Into Eclipse.”  For him and his band, free publicity is always a plus.

There was a downside to the event which was deemed family-friendly by the organizers and some were disappointed including Steven Cambridge who was visiting from New Mexico.

There’s a saying that one bad apple might ruin the whole bunch; what began as great idea and event, ended with a sour taste for some. For more information about the Social Factory and upcoming events, check them out on Facebook.
