The Tongue Ranger District is hosting an open house from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014. The open house will be held at the Forest Service Work Center, 1355 Fort Road, located just before the entrance to the Veterans Administration facility in Sheridan.
According to district ranger Clarke McClung, the open house affords an opportunity for the public to meet with Bighorn National Forest employees one-on-one and discuss local forest management projects scheduled to begin this summer.
Personnel working in recreation, wildlife, range, fire and fuels management, timber, hydrology, fisheries, archaeology, and special uses will be available to answer questions and take feedback on local forest management. “Everyone with an interest in the Bighorn National Forest is welcome and encouraged to attend,” said McClung.
