There was an abundance of activities for the kids who were there.
There were also tours of the station and its equipment, fire truck rides, a tour through the burn trailer where firefighters are trained, and a free bar-b-q. The highlight of the day was a live burn demonstration. Songer explains.
This year's theme is having “Have 2 Ways Out,” and focuses on having two fire escape plans for your home and practicing them.
