At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council heard a short presentation from Bob Snowden with the One Percent committee, giving their recommendations for funding to the various groups that applied for funding over the next two fiscal years.
Snowden said requests for funding in year one topped $619,000 for an allotment from the city of $600,000. In year two, requests were for $558,000 for an available $500,000 from the city.
Most requests were cut, meaning those wanting funding in most cases did not get the full amount they asked for.
Snowden had one suggestion for both the city and county to work together to benefit each other in the long run.
The city and county both will take the recommendations of the One Percent committee into their budget sessions which will continue through June before their budgets are adopted.
