The equipment and trucks gathered in the the old Central Middle School lot are a result of the lot being used as a staging area by Excel Construction while they begin work on the Wyoming-Park project. During Wednesday's Public Pulse, Sheridan City Council President, John Bigelow, gave an answer to the frequently asked question about the old school area.
He went on to explain what Excel will be doing within the lot before the Wyoming-Park Project is complete, which accounts for the large number of materials and equipment.
Ground was broke for the Wyoming-Park Avenue Project earlier this summer with completion of the $2.19 million phase one of the project scheduled for December. Overall cost for the four phases of the project is estimated at $9.5 million.
This summer, Excel completed the retaining wall at the top of the hill below Sheridan Junior High School, and has worked in Billings on helping with reconstruction of the MetraPark.
