Arson may be involved in the fire that swept through county attorney's offices early this morning.
Sheridan Fire Chief Terry Lenhardt said that is not being ruled out at this time.
Sheridan Police Sergeant Travis Koltiska said the fire was spotted on the north side of the building, a former residence at the corner of Burkitt and Brooks streets, and was called in shortly after 4:30. The fire chief described the scene when crews arrived.
The chief said firefighting personnel returned to the fire station by 8:15, and investigators began their work. He talked about the task ahead of the investigative team.
No injuries were reported from the fire, but the chief reported extensive damage to the building's interior.
Sheridan Media will continue to provide updates as the investigation of the fire continues.
