Obesity In Sheridan County Is Slightly Lower Than The State Average

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System ranked Wyoming 33rd among the country in terms of its residents being overweight and obese. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter tells us how Sheridan County stacks up.

Obesity can be directly attributed as the cause of many health problems in our country, and while the term “tightening our belts” has been bandied about endlessly when discussing budget cuts and our current economic situation, it sure hasn't applied to our ever growing waistline.

Hiller says that living better is as simple as a healthy diet and exercise.

Hiller said that a good tip for parents is to try and get their kids to play actively, and to try and limit their time in front of the television and video games to less than two hours a day.
