The Northern Wyoming Community College District is considering making some changes to the amount of General Education credits that are required for their Associates Degrees.
Currently, 44 to 46 credits of General Education classes are required within the 65 credits required for various degrees.
Dean of Arts and Sciences, Ardath Lunbeck, explained to the Board of Trustees at their recent monthly meeting what they are considering and why.
Lunbeck said the proposal for reducing General Education requirements would cut them down to perhaps 34 to 38.
Board members asked Lunbeck if these changes would affect the transfer programs that they have been setting up with the University of Wyoming, and she said that changes are being drafted to make sure that transfer programs will remain the same.
