The Northern Wyoming Community College District's Board of Trustees unanimously approved an unqualified audit report at their most recent meeting. Joni Kumor, a Certified Public Accountant, says from her research it all looks good.
Kumor says the district's net assets went up by @2 million for the year and that liabilities decreased from last year due to the payment of debt.
An issue that came up during the audit was that the district's finance department was not in compliance with a particular governmental requirement, specifically needing to document the bid process more thoroughly. Kumor says requirements state that if there's a lack of competing bids for school projects, reasons why need to be explained.
Officials say that the finance department will move forward keeping this requirement in mind.
