NSF Awards Largest Grant in UW History

The National Science Foundation has awarded the largest grant in the University of Wyoming’s history -- a 20 million dollar project to study water resources. Geology Professor Steve Holbrook says the interdisciplinary award will bring together researchers and educators from four UW colleges and 11 different departments. He says the research will improve water management in the state.

UW’s previous record research award was a $16.9 million grant from the National Institutes of Health for biomedical research in 2009.
