Fund raising seems to be a forte for the Northern Wyoming Community College District. At the monthly board meeting held at Sheridan College last night, Susan Bigelow, the Vice President of Development for the district, announced NWCC ranked 9th nationally among all community and technical colleges for fundraising in 2009. Susan says these numbers are reflective of a long-standing local appreciation for philanthropy.
The foundation received over 4.2 million in total private contributions in 2009. Ninety-one percent of these gifts support long term capital investments, such as property, buildings, and loan funds.
Total private and state matching support in 2009 was nearly 6 million.
