A good crowd turned out Thursday night for WYDOT'S presentation on the North Sheridan Interchange Project.

Over a decade ago the Wyoming Department of Transportation began considering possible improvements to the North Sheridan Interchange. WYDOT District Engineer Mark Gillett says that in 2009, WYDOT began a study of the North Main Interchange to address deficiencies.

After presenting six preliminary alternatives at a public meeting in August, WYDOT has paired it down to three options, with one of those being a no build option. Gillett explains the first of two alternatives that would move the interchange slightly.

The other alternative would be a much more significant move.

If you didn't have a chance to attend Thursday night's meeting, you can submit your comments here. Comments on the three alternatives should be submitted by July 23, 2010. Gillett said that within a years time they would like to have it narrowed down to one alternative, but he added that that time line is flexible.
