Powder Pass Nordic Club will be hosting a chili fest and informational gathering this Saturday in the Bighorn Mountains west of Buffalo.
It is an opportunity for those interested in wintertime outdoor activities to ask questions, gather information and sample the kinds of fun that can be had in our own backyard.
The Chili Fest is the club's annual event held at Willow Park, which is closer to Tensleep west of the pass on Highway 16. The event will run from 10 am until 1 pm.
Allison Barnes, Secretery for the club, tells us more.
Barnes said the Sports Lure in Buffalo has some equipment, such as classic Nordic skis and snowshoes available to rent as well.
Willow Park is just one area the club uses during the winter, and Barnes explains the differences in the areas they use.
The club's annual Pole Creek Challenge is coming up February 4th, and we'll have more information on that next week.
