A small plane drifted off the runway at the Sheridan County Airport Wednesday afternoon, but no one was injured and there was no damage to the plane, according to the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office.

A report of a "Plane Crash" came in at about 5 pm Wednesday, but the Sheriff's Office reported that there was no crash, instead that the plane just drifted off the taxiway.

Sheridan Media phone calls Thursday morning to Airport Manager John Stopka and other airport personnel were not immediately returned.

The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
