The atrium of the new Edward A. Whitney Academic Center at Sheridan College was the site of Saturday night's Reagan Day Dinner, hosted by the Sheridan County Republican Party. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the details.
It was a who's who in terms of political prowess, as U.S. Senator Mike Enzi along with candidate for Senate Liz Cheney were just a few of the politicos who were on hand to show their support of the Sheridan County GOP. The featured guest speaker was Mary Matalin, who's a well known political consultant for the Republican Party.
I had a chance to ask Matalin what the Republican Party needs to do to win back the votes of the American people.
When discussing the economy, Matalin said that there's more to the recession than meets the eye.
Matalin served under President Ronald Reagan before working for both Bush administrations and as a counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney.
