The Sheridan City Council Monday night held a meeting that lasted just over a minute and a half. All of the agenda items were placed on consent agenda and approved with no discussion. This has become an annual tradition for the Council when one of their bi-monthly meetings falls within rodeo week.
Following the brief meeting, Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter asked City Clerk/Interim Treasurer Scott Badley about the process that will be followed to replace Mayor Dave Kinskey, who's been selected to fill the vacant District 22 state senate seat.
Badley said that the next mayor has to be a current member of the City Council, and that he expects a special meeting to be called within the next week or two, where the council will appoint Kinskey's replacement.
