The Wyoming Department of Health suggests residents abandon smoking as a New Years Resolution for 2012 and offers a myriad of cessation resources at a low cost to help out.

They offer nicotine patches, gum and lozenges, Wellbutrin, Zyban, Bupropion and Chantix.
Wilson said that medication support offered in Wyoming makes the program one of the most generous nationwide. Smokers can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW to receive medication vouchers. Free counseling services are available through both the phone line and Quitnet online.
Wilson said they don't want cost to get in the way of Wyoming residents who want help quitting.
There is no safe level of use for tobbacco, said Dr. Wendy Braund in a media release from the Department of Health. Braund is Department of Health State Health Officer and a senior administrator with the Public Health Division.
About 20% of Wyoming residents smoke. According to the release tobacco is the leading cause of preventable death in the state and the country, and a leading cause of cance,r diabetes and heart disease.
