After almost a decade of Cel Hope at the helm, the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan has a new director. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

Following her first day on the job Tuesday, I had a chance to catch up with Debie Crawford, the new executive director of the Shelter.

Crawford says that her love for animals and a yearning to return to the place she calls home, is what prompted her to apply for the position.

The new director stated that she will definitely seek guidance from longtime director Cel Hope, who's retiring in a few weeks.

Crawford will officially take over as executive director April, 2nd, as Hope's last day at the Shelter will be Tuesday, April 1st.
