Last September the traffic pattern at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds was altered to route vehicles to the west side of the Fairgrounds with the goal of keeping traffic away from contestants and pedestrians. Part of that new traffic pattern also meant changes to contestant parking areas. Facilities Director Melissa Albrecht says there has been some opposition to the new parking arrangement at the Fairgrounds.

The new layout was designed to improve overall safety at the Fairgrounds, which is the exact opposite of what is happening when contestants don't comply.

With the Sheridan County Fair set to begin in a matter of days, Albrecht said that she's been working hard to let users know that if they don't use the correct parking areas during the events, it presents serious safety issues for everyone involved.
