Longtime director of the Children, Horses and Adults in Partnership program Sue Suddith has taken a position in Jackson, Wyoming, to work for a program similar to CHAPS. New Executive Director Amber Roberson says that she's no stranger to the non-profit.
The director points out that the program wouldn't be successful without the volunteers.
CHAPS was founded a little over a decade ago and was originally designed to offer therapeutic riding to children and adults with special needs. The program has expanded to offer equine assisted activities and equine facilitated learning for Veterans from the Sheridan VA Medical Center and at-Risk youth from Fort MacKenzie High School.
