When the Sheridan Recreation District raised the rates at Kendrick Pool for the 2011 season, the goal was to try to minimize the net loss incurred annually from operating the pool.
Sheridan Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright says that the net loss was cut in half from previous years.
Wright explains that they will continue to look at ways of lowering that net loss number on a year-to-year basis.
Attendance numbers at the pool remained steady, as 18,288 people came through the doors last summer, which was slightly higher than the 18,281 from 2010.
