In 1962 President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation establishing National Public Works Week, which is being recognized around the Country and locally all week long.
City of Sheridan Public Works Director Nic Bateson says that there are many facets that make up the City's Public Works Department.
Bateson stated that there are 104 Public Works employees for the City of Sheridan.
The City hosted a Public Works Fair Wednesday afternoon at the Sheridan Junior High School. Bateson encourages people to learn more about the City's Public Works throughout the rest of this week.
National Public Works Week is observed each year during the third full week of May.
