Earlier this month we reported that Sheridan High School was one of only two high schools in the state to be named a Silver Award winner by U.S. News and World Report. At Monday night's School District #2 Board meeting, it was announced that Sheridan High School has been ranked by Newsweek as one of the best public high schools in the nation. SHS Principal Dirlene Wheeler explains the criteria that went into the national ranking.
Sheridan High School was the only high school from Wyoming that made the list. This is the second time that SHS has been recognized by Newsweek as one of the nation's best public high schools, as they received the honor in 2008 as well.
