Mraz Makes Initial Appearance in Circuit Court

Earlier this week 23-year-old Sheridan resident Miranda Mraz was arrested on the charges of Larceny by Bailee and False Reporting in connection with the incident last Saturday at the Eagles Club at 5th and Main. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more on this developing story.

Mraz made her initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court Thursday and plead “Not Guilty” to the False Reporting Charge. As for the Larceny charge that lead to her arrest earlier this week, there was no mention of it, only the Misdemeanor False Reporting. Circuit Court Judge John Sampson set a $1,500 unsecured bond due to the fact that Mraz has no prior criminal history. He also ordered Mraz to have no contact with any of the employees of the Eagles and that she not enter the property at 5th and Main.

False Reporting is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $750 fine, or any combination of both. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled at a later time.
