More Christmas Happenings this Weekend

Buffalo's kickoff to Christmas this weekend has even more fun activities besides the chili feed and parade.

On Saturday, Sheridan College in Johnson County will offer kids a chance to make gingerbread houses and gingerbread ornaments at their Christmas Gingerbread Workshop from 10 to 11:30 am. Sheridan College's Ashlea Redding explains.

Redding said although the quota of 50 gingerbread houses has been met, kids can still make ornaments.

On Friday and Saturday, Cooley Images will take your child's picture with Santa in their studio downtown. 5 x 7 photos are available for only $5 each, and other packages are available, just ask.

Cooley Images will be taking photos Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and again Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and no appointment is necessary.

Mountain Meadow Wool will host an open house and ornament project Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.

Design and make a one-of-a-kind hand-made ornament at 22A Plains Drive on Highway 16 East in Buffalo at the old Ouray Building.

On Sunday, the 15th annual Occidental Christmas Program will be presented in the lobby of the historic hotel downtown beginning at 4 pm. This will be the one and only performance this year.
