On Wednesday evening, dozens of community members and representatives from the many user groups that frequent the Sheridan County Fairgrounds all had an opportunity to meet with fairgrounds staff, the fair board and a few county commissioners.
Facilities Director at the fairgrounds, Jamie Ringley, says the event was a great way to not just meet with their many users - but also to hear their comments and recommendations about how best to serve the community.
One example of the interaction between staff and users involved recycling at the facility. A guest suggested the fairgrounds install recycling bins, so Ringley told her he would contact the city to make arrangements.
Ringley says the 2013 fair season is now officially underway and he looks forward to hearing more input from residents.
Ringley says he invites anyone with comments or suggestions regarding the fairgrounds to send him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call him at 672-2079. The next board meeting of the Sheridan County Fair Association, which is always open to the public, will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.
