New owners have finally reopened the doors of the Meadowlark Lake Lodge on the fourth of this month located about 45 miles west of Buffalo on Highway 16.
Holli Jones and her husband Wayne are the owners of the newly revamped lodge and three other area lodges including Deer Haven, Meadowlark Ski and South Fork Mountain lodges, all located between Buffalo and Tensleep.
In 2006, Deer Haven, Meadowlark Lake and Meadowlark Ski lodges all went bankrupt, Jones said, and in 2009 she and her husband bought all three at a sheriff's auction. Since then they have reopened all of the lodges, with Meadowlark Lake Lodge being the most recent.
The lodge features restaurants, duplexes, hotels and a bar, she said, and will be open year round. There are plenty of reservations available for those interested, she said, though weekends are filling up quickly.
