Mead Considers Medicaid Expansion

Wyoming governor, Matt Mead, is still waiting on a response to questions he posed to the Secretary of Health and Human Services last July regarding the optional expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. However, he did indicate he received two new studies on Medicaid explaining how much the mandatory and optional expansion of Medicaid would cost the state of Wyoming. Mead said he wants to make an informed decision.

The study estimates a full expansion of Medicaid would cost the state between $116-148 million over the course of six years.
