Mayoral Candidate Feels Outsourcing is an Issue for the City

Sheridan City Councilor and Mayoral Candidate Steve Brantz issued a news release stating that he feels the City has taken a step backwards in the decision to outsource utility bills to an out of state company. Brantz said in the release that “City government must take the lead in buying local, not just by words, but with their actions”, and that “every dollar the City sends out of state is a dollar out of our local economy”.

Last month, the City began the lock-box program, which consists of sending out the utility bills for processing at a Wells Fargo lock-box in Denver, Colorado. Councilor Brantz could not be reached for comment at the time this story was published.
