Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey recently toured the Sheridan College Computerized Numerically Controlled Machining Center. With the recent announcement that Vacutech of Centennial, Colorado would be expanding their business to include a light manufacturing plant in Sheridan, the Mayor wanted to get a first hand look at CNC program at the College.

Vacutech has worked closely with Sheridan College to ensure that students and graduates of the program will be afforded the opportunity to begin their careers in Sheridan. In late October of this year, a groundbreaking was held at the Hi-Tech Park in north Sheridan where the 40 to 45 thousand square foot Vacutech facility will be located.

The tentative schedule for completion of the building is late 2010 or early 2011, with the goal of being fully operational by Spring of 2011.
