The Sheridan City Council at their last meeting approved the purchase of a little over four acres of property just west of the City Service Center on KROE Lane. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey appeared on KROE'S Public Pulse program Thursday to discuss the use of the reserve funds for the acquisition that will serve as an expansion to the current Service Center.

Kinskey says that they've expanded the service center once already, and that the property was purchased because they are simply running out of space.

The property was purchased for $395,000 using $245,000 from the Water and Sewer reserve fund and $150,000 from the Solid Waste Reserve fund.
