At their last meeting May 30, the Johnson County Healthcare Cente Board of Trustees received mostly positive news concerning patient numbers, donations and the recruitment of a family physician.
The Amie Holt Care Center is holding steady at 39 residents through the month of May.
The board approved the appointment of a new family practice physician on the recommendation of the medical staff.
Patient numbers in the clinic were 1,444 for the month, down slightly from 2011 numbers at 1,473.
The hospital had a busy first couple of weeks in May but settled into an average of 8-10 patients. There were two OB patients during the month.
Home Health has 37 active patients and Hospice currently has nine.
Memorials and Donations included $65 to the Care Center and $3,493 to Hospice for a total for the month of $3,558.
