CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Matt Mead is set to be sworn into office as the 32nd governor of Wyoming. Mead, a 48-year-old Republican, will be sworn in Monday morning at the Cheyenne Civic Center. A reception will follow at the Wyoming Capitol.
A gala reception will be held this evening in Cheyenne for which reservations are required.
Mead is a former U.S. Attorney for Wyoming. He and his wife Carol Mead own farming and ranching operations in southeastern Wyoming. They have two children.
Matt Mead is grandson to former Wyoming governor and U.S. Senator Clifford Hansen, who died last year. Mead's late mother, Mary Mead, had run unsuccessfully for governor.
