Dr. Mark Englert will soon be heading to Gillette College to become their next Vice President. He is currently serving as the Vice President for Student Enrollment at Sheridan College, and was nominated by Dr. Paul Young, the recently-selected President of Sheridan College.
Dr. Englert says that although he will miss living in the Sheridan-area:
Dr. Young has proposed creating two positions to replace Englert; a Dean of Enrollment Services and a Dean of Students. Dr. Young says that although this would create an extra position at the college, the positions will be opened internally and not necessarily entail any budget increases:
Dr. Englert has been working with the District since 1985, when he was both a basketball coach and Academic Coordinator.
He is expected to begin at Gillette College on August 2nd. Sheridan College officials intend to fill the two positions by the start of fall semester, which begins August 31.
