The City Hall bell rang to announce March as DisABILITY Awareness Month in Sheridan,

Monday morning Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey read a proclamation on the front steps of City Hall proclaiming March as Disability Awareness Month in Sheridan. Over 20 clients from RENEW were on hand for the event, which included the ringing of the bell in front of City Hall.

RENEW CFO Chris Ahlstrom says that March is a chance for those that are disabled to show their ability.

RENEW has several events planned this month in recognition of Disability Awareness Month, as there is a RENEW Client Art Show at Davis Gallery throughout March, with an artists reception March 17th, from 5:30 to 7 pm. The Walk for Disability Awareness will be Saturday, March 26 at the Sheridan Junior High School. We'll have more on the Walk for Disability as the event draws nearer.
