Earlier this year the Sheridan County Commissioners renamed the Sheridan County Airport terminal building the Malcolm Wallop Terminal. Former United States Senator Malcolm Wallop from Big Horn received another honor yesterday, as well. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department named their Lake DeSmet public access point after Wallop. Game and Fish Information Officer Warren Mischke praised Wallop for his service to his state and country.
The dedication was fitting since Wallop was one of two congressmen in 1984 who sponsored a bill that dramatically increased recreational revenues from the Federal government.
Wallop and his wife Isabelle were able to attend the ceremony which was held at Sheridan College due to concerns about the weather
