Friday night, in the C-TEL Presentation Hall at Sheridan College, Lydiah Nganga along with John Kambutu, both associate professors at Casper College, shared their vision about the Hillside Kenya Water Project.
Hoping to raise the final 17-thousand dollars of a 48-thousand dollar well digging venture, the duo want to make a difference in their native village. The villagers there now drink from dirty pond water and are subject to a host of waterborne diseases and Nganga explains, there more reasons to have clean drinking water.
Walking 20 miles to water and back takes most of the day so the young girls must help.
John Kambutu says the amount of time it takes to find water also causes domestic issues for the Kenyans.
