The Sheridan Police Department arrested 24-year-old Sheridanite, Ben Morton, on suspicion that he broke into Lucinda's Artesian Gallery Friday night.
The police received the report of a forcible entry on Main Street at about 9 p.m., and when they arrived, they found both front and back entrances to the business were compromised and various jewelry items were stolen.
The Police found Morton at a bar nearby and placed him under arrest. According to a media release from the police, the suspect had injuries, presumably from committing the robbery, that were treated both on the scene and also at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. After his release from the hospital, Morton was charged with burglary and sent to Sheridan County Jail.
