The Cat and Dog Shelter's annual Rabies vaccination event is in full swing this week at the Kendrick Park band shell. Cats and dogs have trickled in for low-cost rabies vaccines since Tuesday, and volunteers and veterinarians will be on hand from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Cel Hope, director of the shelter, said it's okay if you have a lot of cash—you can still come.
Vaccinations are $10 for spayed or neutered cats and dogs, and $15 if they're intact. Pet owners should bring any records of past vaccinations with the pet.
