In a recent live interview with Wyoming’s Governor Matt Mead on our Public Pulse news talk show, host Kim Love asked if distracted driving had become as big a problem as drunk driving.
Love then asked if that was a question that he, as governor, could demand that the highway patrol ask during routine stops, or when there’s an incident.
The governor wasn’t sure if that was within his parameters as governor.
Love said: "Wouldn’t it be worth the effort, just to ask?" The governor said: "Yes, consent, given freely, is always good."
