The Wyoming Lottery Corp. is holding workshops this week, throughout the state, with the one in Sheridan planned for today, from 10-2, at the Holiday Inn on Sugarland Drive.
Organizers say this is a great time to learn about the lottery and gain a better understanding of the retailer application and selection process. The workshop will also include a facilitated discussion to seek retailers' feedback on the application and contract.
Jon Clontz is the Wyoming Lottery's Chief Executive Officer. He said his job is to make sure the process is equitable for the majority of retailers, because the lottery will not be successful unless retailers are successful.
He said the lottery managers will take retailer's feedback into consideration when solidifying the application and contract. Once finalized, the application and contract will be presented to the lottery's board of directors during a public meeting. The board's approval will open the application process and launch efforts to recruit retailers.
